afterschool daybreak

yeah so afterschool daybreak is just this little project about four zilliez, nothing dramatic, nothing supernatural, just four students who hang around each other because that’s what happens when you survive the same classes and the same teachers and the same boring school days. elle and marcelo are the ones everyone already teases, because they act like they’re not a couple but also kind of are. they sit too close, they laugh at things that aren’t even funny, they pretend they don’t notice each other but they always do. at this point they’re basically destined to be actual, like everyone knows it except them. the other two damn bitches are yuan (as a short, his actual name is yuanbao) and gabriel and they are just there, doing their own thing, adding to the chaos. they’re not side characters or anything, just normal students with their own lives, but somehow (somehow...) they always end up in the same spots after school. the benches, the courtyard, the random corners where people wait for rides or pretend they’re not waiting for anyone.

in the 1798 timeline its literally war and fights everywhere and theyre just from this senator family trying to survive all the mess around them like they didnt ask for any of this they were just born into the wrong century elle (elena in this timeline) and marcelo ( marcello ) arent doing the whole “haha we sit too close” thing here its more like “stay quiet stay low stay alive” but they still look out for each other in that same stupid way they always do even if they dont say it out loud yuan and gabriel are still the chaos duo but its the kind of chaos where theyre like “bro i heard soldiers passed by the east road we need to move now” instead of “bro i bought snacks” theyre still them just in a world thats way harsher theyre not heroes theyre not chosen ones theyre just four kids stuck in a political nightmare bc their family is important and that makes them targets so they stick together bc thats the only thing they can actually control

in the 1798 timeline, but its 1800, the four of them get caught in a collapsing building during an attack everything is shaking falling burning and theyre trying to get out but the whole place is turning into a trap around them part of the floor gives out and they fall into this lower storage area thats basically where all the excrement (btw for americans its shit) its dark slippery disgusting and it makes moving almost impossible the whole place smells awful and the air is thick with smoke elle and gab get separated from the others when a huge part of the structure crashes down between them marcelo and yuan try to reach them but the heat and the debris make it impossible and by the time marcelo gets close again its already too late yuan tries to climb out through a narrow opening marcelo finds but the ground keeps shifting and the fire spreads fast the whole lower level is turning into a furnace yuan gets overwhelmed trying to pull himself up and marcelo tries to help him but the building is breaking apart faster than either of them can move in the end marcelo is the only one who makes it out alive and he has to carry the weight of losing all three of them in a single night knowing they were all just kids trying to survive a world that never gave them a chance
